1 Agreement to Terms
By booking a ride or using the services provided by NYC Transfer ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all transportation services provided by NYC Transfer, including airport transfers, point-to-point rides, hourly bookings, and special destination services.
2 Service Description
NYC Transfer provides private car service and ground transportation in the New York metropolitan area, including:
- Airport transfers to/from JFK, Newark (EWR), and LaGuardia (LGA)
- Point-to-point transportation within NYC and surrounding areas
- Hourly charter services
- Special destination services (Woodbury Common, Ohel Chabad, etc.)
All drivers are licensed by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) and vehicles are fully insured and registered for commercial passenger transportation.
3 Booking and Reservations
3.1 Making a Reservation
Reservations can be made through our website, WhatsApp, phone, or email. A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us.
3.2 Required Information
To complete a booking, you must provide:
- Full name of the lead passenger
- Pickup and drop-off addresses
- Date and time of service
- Number of passengers
- Contact phone number
- Flight information (for airport pickups)
3.3 Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate booking information. Additional charges may apply if incorrect information results in delays, additional mileage, or extended wait times.
4 Pricing and Payment
4.1 Quoted Prices
All quoted prices are for the specified route and service. Prices include the base fare, tolls, and standard gratuity unless otherwise stated. Prices do not include:
- Additional stops not included in the original booking
- Excess wait time beyond the complimentary period
- Airport parking fees (if applicable)
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept cash, all major credit cards, and digital payment methods. Payment is due upon completion of service unless prepayment arrangements have been made.
4.3 Gratuity
A standard gratuity of 20% is included in quoted prices. Additional gratuity for exceptional service is at your discretion.
Note: Prices are subject to change due to fuel surcharges, toll increases, or other external factors. Any price changes will be communicated before booking confirmation.
5 Cancellation Policy
5.1 Standard Cancellations
- 24+ hours before pickup: Full refund, no cancellation fee
- 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% cancellation fee
- Less than 12 hours before pickup: Full charge applies
- No-show: Full charge applies
5.2 How to Cancel
Cancellations must be made by contacting us via phone, WhatsApp, or email. Cancellation is effective when confirmed by our team.
5.3 Modifications
Changes to pickup time, location, or other booking details are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments. Please notify us of any changes as soon as possible.
6 Wait Time Policy
6.1 Airport Pickups
For airport pickups, we provide 60 minutes of complimentary wait time from the actual flight landing time. We monitor flight status in real-time and adjust pickup times accordingly.
6.2 Non-Airport Pickups
For all other pickups, we provide 15 minutes of complimentary wait time from the scheduled pickup time.
6.3 Excess Wait Time
Wait time beyond the complimentary period is charged at $1 per minute. Please contact your driver if you anticipate delays.
6.4 Special Destinations
For round-trip services to destinations like Ohel Chabad, wait time during your visit (up to 60 minutes) is included in the quoted price.
7 Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers agree to:
- Be ready at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time
- Wear seatbelts at all times while the vehicle is in motion
- Ensure children are properly secured in appropriate car seats
- Not smoke, vape, or consume alcohol in the vehicle
- Not engage in any illegal activity during transportation
- Treat the driver and vehicle with respect
- Report any lost items within 24 hours of service completion
Damage Policy: Passengers are responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by themselves or members of their party. Cleaning fees of up to $250 may apply for excessive mess or soiling of the vehicle.
8 Child Safety Seats
NYC Transfer provides child safety seats at no additional charge upon request. Available options include:
- Infant car seats (rear-facing)
- Toddler car seats (forward-facing)
- Booster seats for older children
Please specify the number and type of car seats needed when making your reservation. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring proper installation and use of child safety seats.
9 Luggage and Personal Belongings
Standard sedan vehicles accommodate up to 3 large suitcases and 3 carry-on bags. SUV and larger vehicles accommodate more luggage.
Please inform us of your luggage requirements when booking so we can assign an appropriate vehicle. Excess luggage may require a larger vehicle at additional cost.
Lost Items: We are not responsible for items left in vehicles. If you believe you left something, contact us within 24 hours and we will make reasonable efforts to locate and return your belongings.
10 Limitation of Liability
NYC Transfer's liability is limited to the amount paid for the transportation service. We are not liable for:
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or circumstances beyond our control
- Missed flights, appointments, or events due to unforeseen delays
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
While we make every effort to ensure timely service, transportation times are estimates and not guarantees. We recommend allowing adequate buffer time for important commitments.
11 Privacy
We collect and use personal information solely for the purpose of providing transportation services. Information collected includes:
- Contact information (name, phone, email)
- Pickup and drop-off locations
- Flight information (for airport services)
- Payment information
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., sharing pickup location with your assigned driver).
12 Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
13 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify customers via email or website announcement.
